FORGIVE ME PLEASE

Forgive me please, when I don’t get it right,
Although I try with all my might.

When I blame you as things go wrong,
And my silent sadness goes on far too long.

When I say things that doesn’t seem fair,
And it looks as though I don’t really care.

When what I say isn’t what you want to hear,
And it appears that I don’t hold you so dear.

When what I do and say hurts you,
And I fail to listen to your point of view.

When I can’t explain and you don’t understand,
And our differences escalate out of hand.

When all I want to do is scream and shout,
And I see you’re hurt but, shut you out.

When I’m so tired of the agro and strife,
And I wearily cry, “This is not my life.”

When I tell you, I don’t want to stay,
And I want to leave and go far away.

When I fail to meet your expectations of me,
And in your eyes the disappointment I see.

Forgive me please as I forgive you too,
As these were the times when I needed you.

IN DREAMY MOMENTS

In dreamy moments, I’m caught by surprise,
I can see your face and gaze in your eyes.

I can feel your warm and tender touch,
Dreaming of you as I miss you so much.

From when we first met, we both knew,
Our betraying eyes revealed what was true.

Glancing, our eyes caught for a while,
We coyly shook hands as we smiled.

We talked and laughed like old friends,
Till our chance meeting, had to end.

Our eyes spoke of what we couldn’t say.
We smiled, shook hands and went on our way.

When we meet now, as we did then,
Our eyes betray our passions again.

We’re so very close and yet so far apart,
Our minds overrule our love torn hearts.

For this is a love that cannot be,
As we both know, we are not free.

And as fate wills and so deems,
We’ll meet again, in our dreams!
