Note: Tips for cooking fried rice
Ingredients
Method Brown the onions well, and then add raw rice. Stir vigorously to prevent sticking. Add salt, spices, tumeric, salt, bay leaf. Add water in the proportions mentioned above. Cook (covered) on a gentle heat on stove top for ten minutes after the water comes to a boil. To prevent sticking, add small quantities of water on top of the lid from time to time. If baking in the oven, follow the above mentioned instructions. Garnish if desired with slivered almonds, raisins, and sliced hardboiled eggs. |
